C-Tecnics was commissioned to supply multiple fully configured C-Vision Secure diver video and communications systems for a defence diving application requiring secure underwater imaging and surface communications. The C-Vision Secure platform is an in-house engineered system developed and manufactured by C-Tecnics.
The order comprised three C-Vision Secure Surface Control Units (CV2/M/SEC), each supplied with a dedicated portable power supply (CT9031) and a full accessory package including dual (CT3015) mini colour cameras and (CT4006) LED lighting systems. All equipment was delivered in ruggedised transit cases to support protection during transport and efficient mobilisation in the field.
Each system was configured to meet defined operational requirements where reliability, image quality, and data security were central to the specification.
C-Vision Secure units opened and staged ahead of dispatch, showing integrated displays and control interfaces.
The project required a portable diver video and communications system capable of operating in demanding subsea environments, while ensuring that all recorded footage and communications remained secure.
In defence diving operations, video and communications must be handled securely as standard. Systems need to operate reliably in challenging conditions, integrate cleanly with existing dive spreads, and continue functioning in the event of power disruption, without compromising data integrity.
The system therefore needed to deliver:
- Secure recording of video and communications
- Protected system access and data handling
- Robust umbilical interfaces suited to demanding environments
- High-quality real-time imaging
- Independent operation where mains power is unavailable
- Rapid deployment with minimal setup complexity
Reliability and secure data handling were key considerations throughout.
Three C-Vision Secure systems packed in rugged transit cases, ready for delivery.
C-Tecnics supplied three complete C-Vision Secure systems, each configured as a fully self-contained, deployment-ready package.
Each unit included a C-Vision Secure Surface Control Unit (CV2/M/SEC), portable power supply (CT9031), two (CT3015) mini colour cameras, two (CT4006) LED lights, operator headset, and a (CV/UMB/0001) terminated umbilical assembly, alongside the full supporting cabling and accessories. All components were housed within rugged transit cases to make transport, storage and setup straightforward.
At the core of each system is the C-Vision Secure platform, combining dual-channel video monitoring and recording with multiple communications channels, including 4-wire (round robin) capability for diver and surface interaction.
The system is designed with full drive-level security and controlled user access, ensuring both recorded data and system settings remain protected while still allowing straightforward operation in the field.
Integrated battery backup ensures communications can be maintained in the event of primary power loss, while internal solid-state storage supports reliable recording and playback.
All systems were assembled and tested in-house prior to dispatch, ensuring they were delivered fully configured and ready for immediate operational use.

Three fully configured diver video and communications systems were delivered in line with the agreed specification and schedule.
Each unit was supplied as a complete, ready-to-use package, making transport and setup straightforward and reducing the time required to get systems operational on site. The inclusion of a dedicated power supply allows the systems to continue operating if external power is unavailable, maintaining both communications and recording when it matters.
All recorded data and system drives are secured as standard, ensuring sensitive footage is protected without adding complexity for the end user. The systems were delivered ready for deployment, with no additional integration required before entering service.
C-Tecnics designs and manufactures diver video and communications systems in-house for subsea and defence environments where systems need to perform consistently in demanding conditions.
With 20 years of experience in underwater imaging and communications, the company focuses on delivering practical, engineered solutions that integrate easily with existing dive systems. Close control over design, assembly, and testing ensures each system is configured with the application in mind and delivered ready for use.
This project highlights the delivery of a secure, self-contained diver video and communications system designed for defence operations, where reliability and controlled data handling are critical.
By supplying fully configured C-Vision Secure systems with built-in power resilience, the equipment could be deployed quickly and used with minimal setup, while ensuring that sensitive footage and communications remain protected throughout.
