CT3035 Hubro Virtual Pan and Tilt Camera

High-definition multi-stream IP subsea camera with virtual pan, tilt and zoom

The Hubro CT3035 is a compact high-definition IP subsea camera capable of delivering three simultaneous RTSP video streams from a single unit. Combining a 170° ultra-wide fisheye lens, software-controlled virtual pan, tilt and zoom, integrated dimmable LED lighting and configurable image controls, Hubro enables multiple operational views without requiring several dedicated cameras.

Three RTSP streams are available to suit different operational requirements. Stream 1 provides a 1920 × 1080 Full HD overview image. Stream 2 provides a 1280 × 720 HD stream with software-controlled virtual pan, tilt and up to ×30 digital zoom for detailed inspection. Stream 3 provides a further 1280 × 720 HD stream that can be configured for alternative viewing requirements, such as monochrome imaging or different camera settings.

Designed for integration onto ROVs, vessels and other subsea systems, the compact titanium housing measures just 100 mm in length, excluding the connector, and incorporates the camera and dimmable LED lighting within one unit. This helps reduce system complexity, minimise external cabling and reduce the number of separate imaging components required.

C-Tecnics Hubro Live Viewer Software

The C-Tecnics Live Viewer software provides control of Hubro’s three RTSP video streams, allowing operators to select the required stream, adjust camera settings and control the integrated LED lighting from a single interface.

A dedicated 1280 × 720 stream provides software-controlled virtual pan, tilt and up to ×30 digital zoom. The Full HD overview stream and additional HD stream can be configured for different operational requirements, such as wide-area viewing, monochrome observation or alternative exposure and image settings.

Hubro’s RTSP streams can also be accessed using compatible third-party software, providing flexibility for integration into existing viewing, recording and control systems.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Hubro?

The Hubro CT3035 is a compact Full HD multi-stream IP subsea camera combining an ultra-wide-angle camera, virtual pan, tilt and zoom, integrated LED lighting and three simultaneous RTSP video streams within a single unit. Designed for ROVs and other subsea platforms, it provides flexible inspection and observation capabilities without requiring a mechanical pan and tilt system.

How does Hubro's virtual pan and tilt work?

Rather than physically moving the camera, Hubro uses software-controlled virtual pan, tilt and digital zoom to navigate within its 170° field of view. This allows operators to inspect areas of interest while reducing the complexity and maintenance associated with mechanical pan and tilt units.

Does Hubro require a mechanical pan and tilt unit?

No. Hubro uses software-controlled virtual pan, tilt and zoom to navigate the camera image without mechanical pan and tilt hardware.

Can Hubro be integrated into existing ROV systems?

Yes. Hubro communicates over IP/Ethernet and delivers three simultaneous RTSP video streams: a Full HD overview stream, a dedicated virtual pan, tilt and zoom stream, and an additional configurable HD stream.

What applications is Hubro suitable for?

Hubro is designed for a wide range of subsea applications, including ROV inspection, marine science, offshore energy, infrastructure inspection, defence, commercial diving support and general underwater observation.

What depth is Hubro rated to?

The Hubro CT3035 is rated for operation at depths of up to 6,000 metres, making it suitable for a wide range of offshore and subsea applications.

Does Hubro include integrated lighting?

Yes. The camera incorporates two dimmable LED lights within the housing, which can be controlled through the C-Tecnics Live Viewer software.

How do I control the Hubro camera?

Hubro is controlled using the C-Tecnics Live Viewer software supplied with the camera. Once connected over an IP network, operators can view and select between the three live video streams, control virtual pan, tilt and zoom, adjust image settings, switch between colour and monochrome viewing modes, and operate the integrated LED lighting from a single interface. The RTSP streams can also be accessed using compatible third-party software.

Does Hubro include integrated lighting?

Yes. The camera incorporates a dimmable LED ring within the housing.

Is a 4K version of Hubro available?

A 4K version of Hubro is currently in research and development. The current CT3035 model delivers Full HD (1920 × 1080) video, while development continues on a future 4K model that will provide even greater image detail for demanding subsea inspection tasks.
