ROV Cameras, Lighting and Subsea Imaging Systems

C-Tecnics designs and manufactures underwater cameras, LED lights and subsea imaging equipment for remotely operated vehicles, inspection platforms and underwater observation systems.

From compact IP cameras to optical zoom imaging and subsea lasers, equipment can be selected around your vehicle, operating depth, available payload and topside system.

ROV-Hero

ROV Cameras for Inspection and Observation

Choose a camera around the detail you need to see, the available mounting space and the required video output. Hubro combines a wide-angle view, virtual pan, tilt and zoom, integrated lighting and multiple RTSP streams in one compact unit.

Mantis 3 offers optical zoom for detailed viewing, while the CT3027 compact IP cameras provide further options for vehicle-mounted inspection and scene coverage.

Underwater Lighting and Subsea Lasers

ROV lighting should suit the camera position, working distance, visibility and available power. The CT4013 and CT4011 provide higher-output LED lighting with configuration and control options.

Subsea point and line lasers provide further options for visual reference and survey work. Select laser class, output and mounting arrangements to suit the project and the required operating procedures.

IP Video Monitoring and Recording

The C-Vision IP system provides portable multi-camera viewing and recording for compatible IP subsea cameras. It supports up to eight cameras, with configuration options for telemetry and communications.

Camera streams, encoding, network settings and recording requirements should be reviewed together when specifying the system.

Choosing ROV Cameras and Subsea Imaging Equipment

The right equipment depends on the operational task, deployment conditions and systems already in use.

Important considerations include:

  • Required operating depth and environmental conditions
  • Camera field of view, optical zoom and working distance
  • Video format, streaming protocol and network bandwidth
  • Vehicle payload, mounting space and camera position
  • Lighting output, beam coverage and control options
  • Available power, connector pinouts and cable arrangements
  • Live viewing, recording and telemetry requirements

C-Tecnics can review your requirements and advise on product selection, interfaces and a suitable supply configuration.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which camera should I choose for an ROV?

The choice depends on the inspection task, operating depth, mounting space, available power and video interface. Hubro offers wide-angle imaging with virtual pan, tilt and zoom; Mantis 3 offers optical zoom. C-Tecnics can help select a configuration for your vehicle.

Does Hubro need a mechanical pan and tilt unit?

Hubro uses software-controlled virtual pan, tilt and zoom within its wide-angle camera image. This allows operators to change the view without mechanically moving the camera. Whether additional vehicle positioning is required depends on the inspection task.

Can I record footage from IP subsea cameras?

The C-Vision IP system supports viewing and recording from compatible IP cameras. Stream settings, encoding and network requirements should be checked for the selected camera configuration.

Can you help integrate cameras and lights with an existing ROV?

Yes. C-Tecnics can review the operating depth, available power, video interfaces, mounting arrangement and connector requirements, then advise on suitable cameras, lights and supporting equipment.
