CT3036 Cyclops Diver Camera

Integrated camera, light and depth sensor for professional divers

Cyclops+ combines a low-light subsea camera, LED light and depth sensor in one compact, mask-mounted unit.

Designed for professional diving applications, including search and rescue and defence operations, Cyclops+ mounts onto a rail system alongside the diver’s full-face mask. Its low-profile housing reduces the need for separate camera and light assemblies, keeping the mounting arrangement compact and streamlined.

The integrated camera provides live underwater video, supported by LED illumination, while the built-in depth sensor supplies depth information to a compatible surface system.

Cyclops+ is used with a CVN C-Vision Nano or CV2 C-Vision system configured for Cyclops+.

Compact Mask Mounting

Cyclops+ mounts onto a rail system alongside the diver’s full-face mask, bringing the camera, light and depth sensor together in one assembly.

Shown below mounted to an Interspiro Divator mask, the compact unit keeps equipment close to the mask and reduces the need for individual camera and light brackets. Contact our team to discuss compatibility with your mask and mounting requirements.

The camera and LED light are integrated into the front of the housing, with a built-in depth sensor providing depth information to a compatible topside system.

A compact mask-mounted arrangement keeps the imaging, illumination and depth sensing functions together in one unit.

Cyclops+ Umbilical Cable

The supplied Cyclops+ umbilical combines video signal, lighting power, depth sensor signal and diver communications within one cable.

The diver end has a dual-branch breakout for connection to Cyclops+ and the C-Tecnics AGA/Divator communications assembly. The topside connector connects to a C-Vision or C-Vision Nano system configured for Cyclops+.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Cyclops+?

Cyclops+ CT3036 is a compact diver-mounted unit combining a low-light subsea camera, LED light and depth sensor. It brings underwater imaging, illumination and depth sensing together in one low-profile housing.

How does Cyclops+ mount to a diving mask?

Cyclops+ mounts onto a rail system alongside the diver’s full-face mask. It is shown mounted to an Interspiro Divator mask. Contact C-Tecnics to confirm compatibility and mounting requirements for your specific mask.

Does Cyclops+ include integrated lighting?

Yes. Cyclops+ incorporates an LED light within the same housing as the camera and depth sensor, reducing the need for a separate light assembly and mounting bracket.

Which surface systems can be used with Cyclops+?

Cyclops+ can be used with a CVN C-Vision Nano or CV2 C-Vision system configured for Cyclops+. Nano connects to a suitable customer-supplied laptop or computer for viewing and video capture. C-Vision provides an integrated computer, display and keyboard, with video and communications functions.

Can I use Cyclops+ with my existing C-Vision or Nano?

Existing CVN and CV2 units, including four-wire configurations, require wiring and connection modifications before use with Cyclops+. New units must also be specified for Cyclops+. Contact C-Tecnics to confirm the requirements for your unit.

How does Cyclops+ connect to the surface system?

The Cyclops+ umbilical combines video signal, lighting power, depth sensor signal and diver communications within one cable. A dual-branch breakout provides separate diver-end connections for Cyclops+ and the C-Tecnics AGA/Divator communications assembly. The topside connector connects to a C-Vision or C-Vision Nano system configured for Cyclops+.

Can the umbilical be attached to the diver’s harness?

Yes. An optional Chinese finger strain relief with attachment loop and carabiner can be supplied for secure tethering to the diver’s harness. These optional components are shown in the cable illustration.

How is the depth information displayed?

Depth is displayed in metres to two decimal places via a surface system configured for Cyclops+. The number of decimal places describes the display format and does not indicate measurement accuracy.

What is the difference between depth sensor accuracy and resolution?

Absolute accuracy describes how closely the sensor measurement corresponds to the true pressure. Resolution describes the small measurement increments the sensor can resolve. Cyclops+ uses a sensor with a resolution of 0.2 mbar, equivalent to 2 mm in fresh water. This is separate from its absolute accuracy, which is listed in the technical specifications above.

Can Cyclops+ video and depth information be recorded?

Recording options depend on the connected surface equipment and configuration. Contact C-Tecnics to discuss a system suited to your video, communications and depth monitoring requirements.

What is the operating depth of Cyclops+?

The complete Cyclops+ unit has a stated operating depth of 100 m.

What applications is Cyclops+ suitable for?

Cyclops+ is designed for professional diving applications, including commercial diving, search and rescue, defence, marine science and police diving.
