Design & Development
The MK II harness builds on earlier designs through a structured development and testing process, with improvements to webbing routing and load distribution.
Feedback from experienced commercial divers has informed improvements to fit, comfort and compatibility with existing equipment.
Safety & Testing
The harness lifting arrangement has been tested to 9,000 N without failure of the webbing or stitching. The design provides a 6:1 safety factor based on the anticipated weight of a fully equipped diver and considers dynamic loading during recovery in swell or wave conditions.
The stated test load is not a safe working load.

Maintenance, Inspection & Traceability
The harness should be included within a Planned Maintenance System (PMS) and inspected every six months by a competent person for abrasion, stitching failure or component damage.
The identification label provides fields for the model, serial number, manufacture and purchase dates, together with six-monthly inspection records to support traceability.
Refer to relevant IMCA guidance, including DESIGN D018, alongside the product maintenance instructions.
