All C-Tecnics-engineered products undergo design testing and verification appropriate to their function, intended application and operating environment. The testing and verification methods differ according to what each product is designed to do.
Testing Appropriate to Each Product
All C-Tecnics-engineered products undergo design testing and verification appropriate to their function and intended operating environment. This may include pressure and performance assessment for subsea equipment, defined safety testing for recovery and breathing equipment, and functional, electrical and system verification for rugged topside systems.
Every product is supplied with product certification on delivery through our rigorous quality-control process. Third-party testing of a production batch can also be arranged by prior agreement at the time of purchase. The products below are selected examples.
Diver Weak Link
The HS040 Diver Weak Link is designed to secure a working diver to an underwater structure while providing controlled separation if the load exceeds approximately 70 kg.
Its release performance is tested against the defined load requirement, supporting its development in accordance with IMCA D 058 guidance for diver attachment to underwater structures.
JOK Diver Recovery Harness MK II
The JOK Diver Recovery Harness MK II has been developed through load testing, design assessment and feedback from experienced commercial divers.
Its lifting arrangement has been tested to 9,000 N without failure of the webbing or stitching, providing a 6:1 safety factor based on the anticipated weight of a fully equipped diver.
JOK Diver Recovery Jacket
The JOK Diver Recovery Jacket combines a CE-marked recovery harness, cylinder backpack and quick-release weight system within one integrated assembly.
Each of its three designated lifting points has been tested to 9,000 N. The design provides a 6:1 safety factor and considers load distribution and dynamic recovery conditions.
HBB200 Delta BIBS MK II
The Delta BIBS has been independently tested to 450 msw using recognised performance criteria from NORSOK U-101.
At a respiratory minute volume of 62.5 litres per minute, work of breathing, respiratory pressures and carbon dioxide levels remained within the relevant preferred limits.
Beyond these examples, the same quality-controlled approach supports our wider range of subsea cameras, lighting, communications, depth monitoring equipment and rugged topside systems. Each product is tested and verified using methods relevant to its function and intended environment.

C-Tecnics operates a quality management system certified by SGS to ISO 9001:2015. SGS United Kingdom Limited is accredited by UKAS for management systems certification under accreditation number 0005.

C-Tecnics maintains full compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and is reviewed by SGS every year, with a full re-audit of the quality management system conducted every five years.
Every product is supplied with product certification on delivery following our rigorous quality-control process. This product certification is separate from ISO 9001 certification, which applies to the C-Tecnics quality management system rather than certifying each individual product to ISO 9001.

Which C-Tecnics products undergo design or performance testing?
All C-Tecnics-engineered products undergo design testing and verification appropriate to their function. Titanium subsea cameras, lights and other submerged equipment are tested against defined pressure and performance requirements. The Diver Weak Link, JOK Diver Recovery Harness and Jacket, and Delta BIBS require specific release, load or breathing-performance testing. Rugged topside products, including C-Vision video systems, undergo functional, electrical and system verification appropriate to their role.
