JOK Diver Recovery Jacket
CE marked commercial diving recovery jacket with integrated cylinder backpack and quick-release weight system
The JOK Jacket provides a complete assembly combining three essential components required when dressing a commercial diver in a single, easy-to-use waistcoat-style harness:
- Diver recovery harness
- Bail-out bottle holder
- Weight belt
The system incorporates the CE-certified JOK Diver Recovery Harness, load tested to 9000 N at each lifting point, providing a 6:1 safety factor.

Design and Adjustability
The jacket has been designed incorporating diver feedback, allowing size adjustment at the shoulders using stainless steel slide bars with large, easy-adjust webbing tags. Additional adjustment is provided through leg and chest straps, along with twin pin-buckle waist belts, ensuring comfort and secure fit in operational environments. The JOK Jacket is available in two sizes: Standard (HA015) and Small (HA015-S).
Weight System
A heavy-duty, one-pull quick-release system allows immediate release of all weights. Six individual pockets, each capable of holding up to 4 kg, enable adjustment at surface level without activating the release system. The jacket provides a maximum combined weight capacity of 24 kg.

Cylinder Backpack
The rear-mounted cylinder backpack is manufactured from durable plastic and is compatible with a wide range of commercial bail-out cylinder sizes.
For correct installation, threading and adjustment of the cylinder band, refer to the Cylinder Cam Band Fitting Instructions (PDF).
Safety and Compliance
- CE marked as Category III PPE under Regulation (EU) 2016/425
- Compliant with BS EN 15333:2008 (lifting harness standard)
- Load tested to 9000 N on each of three lifting points
- Provides a 6:1 safety factor based on a fully equipped diver
Maintenance and Inspection
It is recommended that the JOK Jacket is included within a Planned Maintenance System (PMS). The system should be inspected every 6 months by a competent person for signs of abrasion, stitching failure, or component damage.
Reference should be made to IMCA guidance, including DESIGN D018, to ensure continued suitability for use.
