Introducing the Hubro CT3035 Virtual Pan & Tilt Camera

C-Tecnics is pleased to announce the launch of the Hubro CT3035, a compact high-definition IP subsea camera designed to simplify underwater inspection by combining multiple imaging functions within a single unit.

Designed and engineered in-house by C-Tecnics, the CT3035 combines virtual pan, tilt and zoom, integrated LED lighting, a 170° ultra-wide field of view and RTSP Ethernet video streaming within a compact titanium housing. The result is a flexible imaging platform capable of supporting a wide range of subsea inspection and observation tasks without the need for traditional mechanical pan and tilt systems.

Rethinking Subsea Imaging

Rather than simply developing another subsea camera, the project set out to address a broader challenge facing the industry.

As remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and other subsea systems continue to evolve, operators are increasingly looking to maximise capability while reducing payload, system complexity and maintenance requirements. Conventional inspection systems often rely on multiple cameras, separate lighting systems, mechanical pan and tilt units and extensive cabling to provide the flexibility required for different inspection tasks.

Hubro has been developed to simplify that approach.

Hubro combines virtual pan, tilt and zoom, integrated LED lighting and high-definition imaging in a single compact platform, reducing system complexity without compromising flexibility.

By combining multiple imaging functions into a single compact camera, operators can reduce the number of components required on a vehicle, minimise external cabling, free valuable payload capacity and simplify system integration. The software-controlled virtual pan, tilt and zoom functionality allows operators to navigate across the camera’s ultra-wide field of view while retaining the flexibility traditionally associated with mechanical pan and tilt systems.

Intuitive Software Control with Live Viewer

The Hubro CT3035 is supplied with C-Tecnics’ Live Viewer software, allowing operators to control virtual pan, tilt and zoom, adjust camera settings, switch between colour and monochrome viewing modes, manage integrated LED lighting and view multiple RTSP video streams from a single intuitive interface.

Built for a Wide Range of Subsea Applications

The compact design also provides flexibility beyond traditional ROV applications. Hubro has been developed as a multi-role imaging platform suitable for deployment across commercial diving, offshore energy, marine science, defence, infrastructure inspection and a wide range of subsea observation applications. Its compact size and software-driven functionality enable integration into existing systems while opening opportunities for new inspection methods and tooling concepts.

Continuing Development

Alongside the launch of the Full HD CT3035, C-Tecnics has confirmed that a 4K version is actively under development. Originally intended to launch alongside the HD model, the 4K variant is undergoing further engineering and evaluation to ensure it meets the company’s performance and reliability standards before release.
